Diabetic Assessments

People with Diabetes should take particular care of their feet. Raised glucose levels in the blood can contribute to poorer circulation and loss of feeling. It is therefore essential that an annual Diabetes foot check is carried out to check for these problems. Using advanced equipment the Podiatrist can carry out the following.

• Assessment of circulation and venous system in legs and feet
• Assessment of nerve function in feet to check for neuropathy (loss of feeling)
• Specialist advice on looking after diabetic feet
