Heel Pain

Every time that that you take a step the whole of your body weight has to travel through the heel, so it is not suprising that heel pain is such a common problem.

The most common cause of Heel pain is a condition known as Plantar Fascitis which is inflammation caused by excessive stretching of the Plantar Fascia underneath the foot. This can appear suddenly after uptake of a sport or high activity or a long period of time wearing unsuitable footwear. The pain is usually intense upon first stepping onto the heel after rest, for example in a morning when getting out of bed.

With footwear advice, insoles or Orthotics, and a range of stretching exercises and anti-inflammatory agents Walk Right Podiatry can soon have you pain free and back on your feet.
